TALX Receives Four New Contracts for its ePayroll Services As More Industries Embrace Paperless Payroll

ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 9, 2003--TALX Corporation (NASDAQ:TALX), a leading business process outsourcer of payroll-data centric services, today announced that it has received four new contracts for ePayroll services which expands the reach of ePayroll into several new industries. These new contracts again illustrate the success of cross-selling efforts at TALX as these companies are currently using other TALX services, including unemployment cost management and employment and income verification.

Once these new clients complete the roll-out of these paperless pay services, their combined 95,000 employees will have web and phone access to their pay information. New ePayroll clients, which include a national healthcare company, regional oil company and regional grocery chain, are expected to benefit from reduced postage and printing costs, while their employees receive even better service through pay stubs that are made available on-line.
